This course is designed by Ontario Native Literacy Coalition (ONLC) as a preparation and study companion for learners interested in obtaining their Food Handlers certification in Ontario. Food Handling is part of many jobs and having the certification can be a great addition to your resumé. This Moodle course goes over who needs the Food Handler certification, how to properly cook and handle food, what foodborne illness is, and an introduction to some Indigenous cooks, restaurants, and more! Upon completion of this course, learners may be eligible to have their Food Handler Certification course and exam covered by GLA (limited spots available).
