Indigenous Peoples of Canada

Indigenous people are part of the founding nations of the country we now call Canada.  They make up close to 5% of Canada s population. In this course, we explore why we celebrate Indigenous People’s Day as well as important contributions by Indigenous people and the role that Elders play. By the end, we hope you have a better understanding of why it is important to learn about and celebrate Indigenous cultural traditions and history.  This course will be available June 1, 2020.
