This course is designed for the learner who is preparing for postsecondary programs. Learn the basic skills for essay writing by breaking it down into stages. Key topics covered are brainstorming, essay structure, paragraphs, thesis statements, and editing.

Learners will learn about pre-writing, how to organize and outline their essay, write the introductory paragraph, write the body and concluding paragraphs, how revise, edit and proofread and how to use word processing software.
